Update on Leon

Dad is holding baby Veronica (Justin's baby girl).

Mom asked me to give everyone an update on Dad. Late last year Dad's doctors switched the type of chemotherapy he was receiving. The previous type was believed to be causing bowel perforations. After multiple rounds of the changed chemotherapy he had x-rays last week and we found out the results of those x-rays yesterday. Unfortunately, the news was not good. His tumors were not responding to the different chemotherapy and some had doubled in size. Yesterday they switched his chemotherapy again. He got his first round yesterday and he will have this type of chemotherapy weekly for six weeks and then he will have a two week break.

In other discouraging news it looks as though he now has Parkinson's Disease as well.

Ava (Jeremy's little girl) talks to "Poppy" as she calls him.

We appreciate all your thoughts and prayers and concerns on his, Mom's and our behalf. He is still very optimistic and wants to continue with his chemo treatments.

Looking fine after a good haircut!

Thanks again,

Kellie

OUR BABY IS 13!!!

Not only was yesterday Inauguration Day, but it was also Ian's 13th birthday! We had a family party on Monday night and were lucky to have Aunt Melanie attend. She was up here visiting for a funeral. Yesterday we took Ian and 3 of his friends to see the movie "Paul Blardt: Mall Cop". It was pretty good and funny. Then it was back to the house for pizza, cake, ice cream and presents. Here are some pictures of the celebrations and Ian as a cute little tyke. Happy Birthday, bud! Wendy Orme

Laura Dame Draper riding horseback.

By the way, we discovered that three neighbors in our Desert Rock subdivision here in Rexburg are related to us through the Draper line. Two through Fanny's older brother.
It's a small world, HUH?.
Hope you like the pics. I just thought they were neat old family pictures even if they are not direct line.
FYI......... Grandma Amy Zoe's father Doc Draper was thrown from a horse and drug which lead to his death. ( I believe this is what happened).

This is a photo of Laura Dame Draper just before her marriage. The URL for the page I was on is http://genmayle.com/gen/getperson.php?personID=I486&tree=Test (if anyone is interested.)

This is a picture of Laura Dame Draper's (Amy Zoe's sister) daughters which I found on a Draper website. (By the way, the oldest one in the picture is one of the daughters and not Laura Dame, herself.)
